For discharge planners, case managers, therapists, interventionists, placement specialists, hospital social workers, probation and drug court — and for the nonprofits and government-funded programs that place people at scale. 90 beds across three properties, and everything you need to make a placement decision on this page. No form required to see it.
Beds move fast, so we don’t post counts — call or text Goel and you’ll have today’s answer, usually within the hour.
In one paragraph
Kokoro operates three recovery residences in the west San Fernando Valley — two men’s and one women’s, in Canoga Park and West Hills. We are a NARR Level II monitored residence confirm level: compensated house manager, written policy, random testing, clinical services accessed in the community rather than delivered on site. We are MAT-friendly — guests manage their own medication with their own prescriber. We are not DHCS-licensed, we provide no clinical services, and we have no financial relationship with any outpatient provider — so we are not competing with you for your client’s clinical care.
The client we hold well: post-residential or stepping down from PHP/IOP, medically stable, stable on MAT if prescribed, able to participate in a house and hold a job or a search. The client we don’t: still withdrawing, initiating or titrating medication, in psychiatric crisis, or needing daily clinical monitoring. We will tell you which category yours is on the first call.

Our commitment
What you can expect from us.
A human answer within two business hours
Including when the answer is no. A fast honest “we’re not right for this, try these two houses” is worth more to you than a slow maybe. Confirm the SLA you can actually hold
A bed that’s actually there
If we say we’re holding a bed for your discharge date, it’s held. We will not quote availability that evaporates at intake.
Updates back to you
With a release on file: progress updates at whatever cadence you want, and immediate notification if your client is discharged or relapses. You should never find out from the client.
Documentation for courts and probation
Attendance records, testing results and residency verification, on request, in a form a court will accept.
Your clinical relationship stays yours
We will never move your client to a different provider, and we have no financial interest in where they get clinical care. Housing is the only thing we sell.
A tour whenever you want one
Drop in, or take the 360° walkthrough from your desk. You should not have to refer to a house you’ve never seen.
