Kokoro Recovery
On the way

Programs

Structured housing is the foundation, and it is what Kokoro does today. Over the coming months we’re layering programming on top of it: curriculum, peer support, and practical help with work, goals and the move to independent living. None of it is running yet, and we’d rather list it honestly than let you find out later.

Coming soon

The full list

Ten programs, none of them live yet.

Here is everything planned, written out. As each one starts running it moves off this list and into the house.

01

Intake, enrolment & orientation

A defined front door. Screening for the right level of care, with any clinical assessment done by licensed partners, so nobody is placed in a house that was never going to fit.

02

Goal setting

Short and long term goals, written down and reviewed, pointed at independent and stable living rather than at getting through the week.

03

Housing placement

Help finding safe, supportive and stable housing for the step after Kokoro, so leaving here has a destination attached.

04

CBI

Cognitive Behavior Intervention. Better thinking, better choices, better lives, delivered as structured peer-led sessions.

05

Life skills curriculum

A 26-lesson development series covering the practical ground: daily living, communication, and the ordinary competence independence runs on.

06

PIE curriculum

Personal Insight Exploration. Guided work on family dynamics and childhood development, the material underneath the behaviour.

07

12 Step support

Support built around lasting recovery and accountability. We don’t require any particular fellowship, and we won’t start.

08

Job readiness

Resume building, interview preparation and ongoing career support. Work is the thing that makes the rest of it hold.

09

Peer-certified staff

Staff working toward peer-to-peer certification across every house, credentials layered on top of lived experience rather than instead of it.

10

Mental health & substance use support

One-on-one and group counselling, provided by licensed partner clinicians rather than by us. Kokoro coordinates the access, we are not the provider and never will be.

Everything above is planned, not running. Kokoro remains a recovery residence and not a licensed treatment facility, and any clinical service listed here will be delivered by licensed partner providers. If a launch date matters for a placement you’re planning, call and ask where a given program actually stands.

Want to know where a program actually stands?

Call and ask. If a program matters to a placement you’re planning, we’ll tell you plainly whether it has started, rather than let a website imply it has.
